Develop a WAP Communications Plan
External Communications/Public Involvement: WES is collaborating with high schools within the WAP watersheds to create a public outreach campaign project ask watershed residents to take a watershed “pledge.” WES is also scheduling speaking engagements with watershed councils and neighborhood groups in order to get information about the WAP Implementation process out to interested publics.
Internal Communications: Since last summer, WES has been working with Clackamas County Development and Transportation (DTD) to integrate the recommendations of the WAPs into Planning activities. DTD is actively involved in the development of the stormwater design standards, especially in terms of integrating “site planning” concepts and LIDA into development code.
Budget: A total of $30,000 has been budgeted for FY09-10 for external communications/public involvement activities.
