Heavy rains cause sewage overflow at the Timberline Rim pump station

Heavy rains are causing a sewage overflow at the Timberline Rim pump station along the Sandy River in Welches.  Oregon Emergency Response  has been notified and Clackamas County Service District No. 1 (CCSD #1) maintenance crews are on site.

Until the rain stops it is difficult to calculate how much volume has entered the Sandy River.  Although there is no public access near the pump station, as a precaution, signage will be placed around the pump station site.  Residents near the spill should avoid contact with the Sandy River until the signage is removed.
