At WES, we value our customers and the knowledge, experience and insight they bring to improving the services we provide. A great example of how this works are the stakeholder groups and WES recruited for both the Kellogg/Mt. Scott and the Rock Creek watershed action planning (WAP) projects. We will all benefit from the broader perspective and specialized expertise these stakeholders bring to the effort.
Their ideas helped create draft watershed action plans. Those plans have been presented to the RiverHealth Advisory Board, which makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) on the District's programs, policies and budgets, many projects are being implememted. Stakeholder group input is critical to begin shaping WES’ new Watershed Health focus in meeting our agency’s surface water management obligations and goals.
